No, they're just stupid asf though Motoyasu made a bit of a good point that they're not obliged to help with the spirit tortoise crisis. However, he and the other 2 were wrong once again thanks to their recklessness and stupidity + their own little regard for what they do to people they step on

Ever since season 1, the other 3 heros have been on game mode. The Queen and all other peoples are mod in a game. They are not interested in any side quests that don't eventually take them to the "game's" conclusion. Naofumi was not familiar with the game this world is based on so its easier for his to see the people as people. But yeah, they are stu-pid.

Agreed but mostly ren is the one on game mode. Motoyasu is just fooling around with the females, esp at that red-headed $0w. and there's itsuki trying hard to be a superiorhero under the pretense of man-of-justice. He's this weak-hearted that he can't accept his fault openly. which is why after being manipulated by bxxxx in his darkest and weakest hours + meld's ass-kissing, his sin of pride unlocked the bow's killswitch (in the form a curse series). Naofumi had the most trouble helping him curb and prevent it from taking over (the other two were easily managed or dealth with Filo for Motoyasu and Eclair for Ren) . If it wasn't for Rishia's determination to help Itsuki, his curse won't subside easily.

True also I think Ren curse series witch is guillotine is petty cool escept that the downside is the decrease of value on anything he touches and Itsuki's own was Phlaris Bull (or Brazen bull) which is another death or torture instrument like Naofumi's Iron Maiden is pretty cool the problem is he can't make decisions for himself anymore. Anyway at least in the far future those useless heroes would become very useful especially since all four of the heroes have been used and disposed of by BITCH.

It's just a hypothesis with regards to the effects and causes of the curses on them. Like for example, Naofumi's Wrath series prevents him from feeling kindness or any affection. I noticed this first when he can't taste food properly. If Raphtalia and co. didn't come into his life, he'd be a hell-bent villain who only wished for his oppressors' demise. He later unlocks the Blessed Series: Compassion, after overcoming his curse. Making his shield even stronger without burden

As for Motoyasu who unlocked two curses at the same time after his 'girlfriend' or harem left him to die they no longer find any use for him. This is also the only part in LN, I felt bad for him after his breakdown. The Lust and Envy's effect is an explosion of emotions towards his targets. He only felt jealousy when he sees Naofumi and co. Only Filo was able to calm him down as Naofumi had thought of. Yeah, he took advantage of Motoyasu's weakness for Filo in a good way and ask her to order Motoyasu to stop.

Ren unlocks two curses as well, namely Greed and Gluttony. It was brought out thanks to Bxxxx's manipulation while his team are dead. Left penniless and missing his stuffs, his desire to get them all back while never thinking of who'll be affected resulted to his greed for money and power. The Gluttony's effect prevents him from acquiring EXPs from mobs or enemies but humans. Which is why Greed and Gluttony is a bad combination, being co-dependent curses. Gluttony takes exps in the expense of unlucky human victims. Greed uses Gluttony's accumulated exp as power source for Ren's cursed attacks. He was only stopped by Éclair because she has more experience with swordsmanship compared to him.

Itsuki's pride prevents him from thinking freely thanks to the effects of the curse. Like pride when put on the line, he can't refuse taunts or provocations that would damage his pride further, preventing him from refusing. That is his weakness all along, which is why Bxxxx took advantage of his falling out and conspired with Mald the kiss-assing tank. Only Rishia's determination and meekness helped him curb the curse's detrimental effects.

Lastly, the Sloth series that was unlocked by Kizuna the hunting heroine. Not her fault why she unlocked it but someone's meddling with her artifact. An otherworlder placed a scrambler accessory to her weapon that adhered her mobility. Sloth's series' effect isn't a danger to anyone but the owner of the weapon. It prevents her feeling joy or fun in action. Even simple things as breathing will become difficult for her. Naofumi saved her by reintroducing Kizuna again to her favorite hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and gathering - completely overcoming the curse

lol the way you described it, they would be the amateur speedrunners and Naofumi is the completionist.

They were stupid, and also they passed the reward for defeating that giant thing to Naofumi, for free.
Means there was potential for them to gain strength from this battle but they don't even bother to participate.

From what i've noticed on my rewatch here in dubbed, the ethnicity or nationality of the other nations were referenced from Japan, Korea, and China. Although i see some others derived from Asia, I still don't recognize the others.

I've really noticed the subtle-to-severe flopping down of the animation and storyboard in S2, compared to S1. They are really trying to develop pther characters, but mostly Risia's.

I see nationality references also from Mongols.
